What I Do

I am a social worker—licensed by the Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners to practice as a Social Worker (SW). I’m responsible for inspections, certification surveys and investigations of long term care facilities to determine compliance with state and federal laws, regulations, and rules. Then I prepare written reports listing deficiencies and supporting the actions and remedies I recommend. Sometimes I’m called to testify at hearings or in court proceedings to provide information regarding policy, procedures, findings, or other topics.
