What I Do

My job includes planning and providing population-based services for the counties of Coryell, Lampasas, Falls and surrounding communities. Some of the clinical nursing functions I provide include immunizations; communicable disease testing, treatment and follow up; case management; community wellness presentations; coalition building; and serving on local committees as a public health advocate. I also serve as one of the Minority Health Team representatives for Region 7. My purpose for being a public health nurse is to teach and empower my clients and the community to strive for maximum health and wellness.
